GLBT Poetry contest for High School Students
If I was too old for the last post, definitely too old for this one... ;-P

Not sure if anyone who reads my blog qualifies, either, but in case you do, or in case you know students who might find this of interest, LIMP WRIST magazine is offering a scholarship for a glbt poem by a high school senior or junior, with the winner getting to attend the Juniper Young Writers Conference at U. Mass in June. Deadline is in January 09.

If you find anything for middle-schoolers or younger high-schoolers, please do post! I have a 13-year-old lesbian poet daughter...

Well, she definitely must read Ellen Wittlinger's HARD LOVE and recent follow-up LOVE AND LIES: MARISOL'S STORY. (You should read them, too!) Set in Massachussetts, even!

Well, age does not really matter, because I am in High School -- again. It is never too late to have the American High School Experience, is it?
